Image: Creator: FES Romania From October 23 to 25, 2026, FES Romania, in collaboration with UNI Global—the UNI Center for the Organization of Workers in Southeast Europe (UNI-SEEOC)—organized the third edition of the union organizing training program for young union leaders in Predeal. More than 20 young people active in unions in the public and private sectors participated in three days of training, experience-sharing, and practical exercises designed to develop their union organizing skills and their ability to mobilize workers to defend their rights. The program addressed both the legal framework for worker representation and social dialogue in Romania, as well as the practical tools through which unions can strengthen their collective power and engage their members more effectively. Through this program, FES Romania and UNI-SEEOC aim to support the development of a new generation of well-trained union leaders capable of organizing and mobilizing workers, increasing collective power in the workplace to defend workers’ rights and secure better working conditions. We would like to thank the trainers Ștefan Guga, Florentin Iancu, Maria Stoian, and Viorel Vlad, as well as all participants for their involvement and contributions to the sessions throughout the three-day training program.
