Training programme for trade union leaders and organizers
Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Romania (FES Romania), in collaboration with UNI-SEEOC, organizes the training program "Trade Union Strength in Action: strategies and good practices", for trade union leaders and organizers. The training program will take place in Predeal, between 27 and 29 September 2024
The aim of the event is to develop the competences and skills of trade union activists in areas relevant to their work, with a focus on effective strategies for mobilizing members and running successful campaigns to achieve their goals in support of workers.
The training program is structured in three parts:
- Introductory session on the current legislative framework;
- Trade union organization in Romania: structures, decision-making processes, procedures
- Strategies and good practices in trade union action, including concrete exercises and case studies.
The sessions will be held by: Marcel Spătari, Syndex Romania expert, Paula Cârlan, Cartel Alfa expert, Florentin Iancu, Maria Stoian and Viorel Vlad, trainers at UNI-SEEOC (UNI's South East Europe Organizing Center).
This program is addressed to people who are active in trade unions, preferably those who are leaders or have a role in trade union organizing, and who at the end of the course want to implement innovative strategies for trade union action. Priority will be given to participants up to 45 years of age.

The participation costs (accommodation, meals, trainers) are covered by FES Romania, except for transport costs, which will be supported by the participants or by the organizations they belong to.
